Northumberland coast at golden hour

Our story

Built for the people who need to get away

Two lodges on the Northumberland coast. No fuss, no middlemen — just the kind of escape that actually works.

Our story

How Escape Collective started

It started with a week off that didn't feel like one. We'd rented a place online, arrived to find it nothing like the photos, and spent the first two days just trying to relax. We knew there had to be a better way.

So we found two properties on the Northumberland coast — one perched above the dunes, one with a gate straight onto the beach — and set about making them exactly what we'd always wanted to find.

Every detail was chosen by people who actually stay in places like this. The beds are proper beds. The kitchens are stocked properly. The Wi-Fi works. And if something isn't right, you call us directly.

What we stand for

What we believe in

Honest spaces

What you see is what you get. Our photos are taken on an ordinary day, not a styled shoot. The lodges look like this when you arrive.

Direct booking

No platform fees, no third-party middlemen. You book with us, you talk to us. That's how it should be.

The coast, properly

Northumberland is one of the least crowded coastlines in England. We want you to experience it the way locals do — unhurried, unfiltered.

Small by design

Two lodges. That's it. We're not trying to build a portfolio. We're trying to look after two places really well.

The team

The people behind it

We're a small team — a family who found the coast and couldn't leave, and a handful of people who help us keep the lodges in the shape they deserve.

Founders

We visited  Northumberland ten years ago for a long weekend and absolutely loved every second of this beautiful location. The lodges are our way of sharing what we found.
